I recently watched a movie about a coach who was trying to inspire a player to keep working. (If you are an Adam Sandler fan, check out the movie HUSTLE.) It reminded me of a “myth-understanding” that Keller talks about in his (MREA) book.
Sometimes the hardest part about achieving a goal is allowing yourself to believe that it can be done, and it can be done by you. You may have to try a different approach, strategy or system but believing it can be done is a big step in the right direction.
