Julie has spent her career listening to and caring for patients, most recently at LMH Health in Lawrence. Known for her compassionate bedside manner, she built lasting trust with patients who returned to her year after year. That same empathy and passion for helping others now carry into her real estate career, where she brings patience, understanding, and genuine care to every client.

With a natural eye for design, Julie loves envisioning new ways to decorate and transform spaces. This creative perspective helps her clients see the full potential in every home. Her decision to pursue real estate was inspired by the encouragement of a longtime friend in the industry who recognized her passion for people and service.

A Great Bend, Kansas native, Julie graduated from Radiological Technology School in Hutchinson and spent decades working in radiology departments in Great Bend, Wichita, Topeka, and Lawrence as an X-ray tech, cath lab tech, and mammographer specializing in biopsies. She has also helped raise funds for LMH to provide medical services for underserved women in the Lawrence area.

Julie is married to fellow REALTOR® J. Schafer, a longtime broadcast journalist at Kansas Public Radio. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and bringing new life into spaces through her love of design.
